Stepping Off the Crazy Train: Tips for Creating Calm in the Center of Crazy

** Head to KristiClover.com/022 to see all the Show Notes & Awesome Quotes that we collected for you! **

Life can get a little crazy at times. Sometimes seasons of “crazy” seem to keep hitting over and over again. There may never seem to be a break from the chaos. Now, I say this as a homeschooling mom of five who currently has another family of six living under her roof. If anyone gets crazy, it’s me.

Creating balance and calm in the middle of craziness is a must. It’s an art. I’ve learned to step back and say no to a lot of different things when we have busy seasons. Yet, sometimes that’s not enough.

Today I have a very special guest, Nicole Johnson. We are going to be chatting about her new book, Creating Calm in the Center of Crazy. Like so many of us, Nicole found herself in a vicious cycle of “crazy.” She shares about her turning point in her crazy life that drove her to create more calm in her life. We can’t always control the circumstances in our lives that are causing a little “crazy” in our lives, but we can find ways to create more calm right in the center of our crazy.

A Few Exciting Little Announcements!

  • I wanted to that my BRAND NEW book (with Tricia Goyer) Homeschool Basics is finally here! I am so thrilled to finally be able to hold it in my hands! Today we’re going to talk about finding joy in the midst of crazy. Parenting. Life. You name it. It’s crazy. Sometimes there are just seasons of crazy–when everything seems to be hitting all at once—and that’s normal. It’s important to create margin.

You may know Nicole Johnson best because of her work with Women of Faith for years. Well, today we’re discussing her new book Creating Calm in the Center of Crazy. I’m excited about this book because the subtitle says it all—making room for your soul in an overcrowded life. Moms are often multitasking, and it’s so hard to get those margins in our life. We have to figure out how to create that calm and joy in the middle of it all.

Episode #021 with Lisa Lloyd

Being Faithful with the Gifts and Talents God's Given YOU!

  • Head to KristiClover.com/021 to see all the Show Notes & Awesome Quotes that we collected for you!

The need to feel appreciated and needed is quite common for most of us, but especially for moms. We pour ourselves out to our families all day. We often joke that our job is a thankless job.

Today on the podcast, we are talking to Lisa Lloyd about her new book, Chasing Famous. She talks about how it’s in our “human nature to want to be loved, affirmed, and accepted.” In other words, it’s normal. Yet, we often look for all these things in all the wrong places. Ultimately, God is the one who we should be running to for our approval. He loves us and created us to shine for His glory. He equipped each one of us to tell a story with our lives using the gifts that He’s given us — making Him “famous” in all we do. (bold that!)

I know you are going to be so encouraged by this episode. We went totally off topic from what we had planned. I think you are going to be so blessed that we did, too! We had even prayed before hand that God would lead the conversation…and He did.

Boundaries with screen time. Lisa says that she gives her kids minutes of reading or exercise for matched minutes of screen time (max time being 3 hours)

Episode #018 with Mary DeMuth

Defining Your Worth: Debunking the Lies We Tell Ourselves with God's Truth

  • Head to KristiClover.com/018 to see all the Show Notes & Awesome Quotes that we collected for you!

This world is constantly bombarding us with lies. You aren't good enough, strong enough, smart enough, pretty enough — you are not enough. These lies come from the enemy…but also from ourselves. Defining our worth is difficult. It's our nature to want to fill our minds with lies like these, that we are not worthy.

In her new book, Living Worthy, Mary Demuth debunks the lies that we so often tell ourselves and replaces it with God's truth. She answers the question, “Am I enough?” There are so many standards we place on ourselves to live up to, yet, as her book reminds us, we are really only supposed to be living for God.

God loves us. Just as we are. It really is that simple. I can't wait for you to listen to this interview with Mary. This episode is going to be another fan favorite.

ON A “SIMPLY JOYFUL” NOTE

I love hearing from Titus 2 women about how they have learned to simplify. Their responses are so often just what my heart needs to hear. I think you'll enjoy hearing from Mary about how her secret to simplifying starts with contentment.

Episode #017 with Heather Haupt

A Return to Chivalry: Making Character Training Fun

* Head to KristiClover.com/017 to see all the Show Notes & Awesome Quotes that we collected for you!

“Chivalry is dead.” That's a phrase I hear from time to time. The thing is that chivalry doesn't have to be dead. It needs to be trained. It does feel like many kids these days don't seem to have an understanding of basic manners. My mom actually used to teach customer service to corporate employees. So, I grew up with a very strong sense of the importance of good etiquette.

Every woman appreciates having a door held open for her or having a gentleman offer her his seat in a crowded waiting area. Good manners and etiquette seem to be missing from many in younger generation, but if we are intentional about how we are raising our kids we can bring it back.

Long live chivalry!

In her book, Knights in Training: Ten Principles for Raising Honorable, Courageous, and Compassionate Boys, Heather Haupt lays out a fun and practical plan for how to teach our boys to valuable lessons in character, etiquette, and manners. I love finding books like this. It's filled with great parenting tips about how to combat entitlement and the messages our boys are getting from society about their worth. I know you are going to appreciate this episode.

ON A “SIMPLY JOYFUL” NOTE

Heather says she likes to streamline everything and plan in batches. For example, she has only one day that she does laundry because she can’t handle thinking about it any other day of the week. She can’t be bogged down with the details because otherwise, it will take the joy out of life for her. I also share a bit about how I have been meal planning for 13 people in my home!

How to Deal with Mommy Fear: Episode #016 with Lisa Whittle

* Head to KristiClover.com/016 to see all the Show Notes & Awesome Quotes that we collected for you!

Mommy fear is a real thing. I have struggled for years with fear and anxiety. I've learned how to combat it with God's Word and lots of prayer. In fact the timing of this podcast interview with Lisa was so amazing, since I had just written a guest post about mommy fear for The Better Mom. I had Lisa's book sitting on my desk waiting it's turn to be read for the podcast interview…and I had no idea it was about putting “your warrior boots on” to fight fear. See, amazing.

So, I just know this episode is for you if you have ever struggled with fear, anxiety, or worry. I hope you are so encouraged…and I hope you will learn to put your warrior boots on, too.

Welcome to the Simply Joyful Podcast
Episode #012 with Mystie Winkler

Practical Tips for Being More Productive

Show Notes: KristiClover.com/012

I am a complete oxymoron! I know it! I admit it! I own it! I am one of the laziest perfectionists you’ll ever meet. I’m the messiest organized person, too! I’m also highly creative and highly analytical. My right brain and left brain are in constant competition.

I actually look at organization as a puzzle. It’s a fun challenge for me to solve. Just how simply can I make things to get it totally efficient? I tweak and tweak and tweak again until I can get it to work just right.

Yes, I love organizing things! I love figuring out new systems and new ways to simplify…which is why I’m so excited about having none other than Mystie Winkler on the podcast today! Mystie speaks my love language — organization!

Now, if you are unfamiliar with Mystie, we’ll then you are in for a treat! Mystie runs a blog called Simplified Organization. I mean, how much more of a perfect fit for the Simply Joyful Podcast can you get? Mystie is a self-proclaimed “slob by nature and has been actively combatting that tendency for 8 years now.”

Mystie has not always been a naturally clean and tidy person. She’s had to learn to  change her attitude about how she cares for her home — and her family. Formerly she felt like “housecleaning was a waste of time.” However, things changed when she learned her “why” behind keeping her house in order. It became more about changing her perspective than finding new ways to clean. Her problem wasn't not knowing what to do. Her problem was not caring. Well, she’s learned to care and she shares more about that today.

You are going to love this episode if you are looking for a real conversation from two women who have had to overcome their non-tidy ways to become organized.

A Special Offer...

Before we jump in I wanted to remind you that we have a special Simply Joyful Podcast deal with Audible! You get a FREE audiobook and a FREE 30 day trial! Just go to https://kristiclover.com/freedownload.  By going through my link, it helps to support the podcast. My goal is to get more help to free up my time, so I can keep bringing you more encouragement.

Check out the Show Notes...

Also know that everything we talk about can be found at KristiClover.com/012 or at simplyjoyfulpodcast.com. I have all the links mentioned in this show there!

On a “Simply” & “Joyful” side note…

Mystie’s family sings and memorizes poetry together in the morning, and this puts them all in a good frame of mind to begin other work.

In This Episode…

In this episode, Mystie and I talk through practical tips and advice about how to be more productive. Mystie explains what “brain dumping” is and the best way to do it. She seriously rocked my “love for organization” world with her tips and advice. I stopped asking the questions I had on my paper and just started asking questions I knew I needed answered to help me with some of my problem areas.

I just know you are going to be so inspired in this episode with Mystie!

Highlights from This Show...

  • Mystie admits she was a natural list-making organizer and thought she had everything together until she had kids. She tried doing things as efficiently as possible, but she’s learned that dealing with the big picture and the vision were more important than the details.
  • Mystie said that she used to ask herself “Why do the dishes need to be done?” or “Why should I mop the floor in the first place?”
  • Finding her “why was the answer!

“If it doesn’t matter at all, I’m not going to waste my time doing it.”
— MystieWinkler

  • I mentioned that when it comes to homeschooling AND housekeeping, you do need to lower your standards and expectations a little bit. {Here's a post about more on this: Help! I Homeschool & My House is a Mess!}
  • Mystie states that her eyes were opened to the “why” from reading two novels: Mansfield Park by Jane Austen and Bleak House by Charles Dickens.

“[In the novel] Bleak House, [the main] character is wrapped up in how she keeps her house. The fact that she has the ‘household keys’ and that the house runs smoothly because of her was a huge part of the beauty that she brings.”
— Mystie Winkler

  • Mystie said that reading about this character from the Dickens classic helped open her eyes to the fact that details do matter and that the way one keep her house reflects on the character of the housekeeper.

“[Paying attention to details is a] way that we love people. It’s not meaningless, because it’s a gift that we’re giving to others.”
— Mystie Winkler

“The way we keep our house does speak to our character.”
— Mystie Winkler

  • I brought up the book Discipline: The Glad Surrender by Elisabeth Elliot and explained how the author brought up the fact that if you want to see if someone is disciplined, look at their house. I was convicted!
  • Mystie said that part of coming to know the meaning and value of cleaning up is doing it for others. Not just people you invite over, but the people that live in your house.

“You need to bless your family as well as you would bless others with your house and the standard you keep your house in…and what also prepares you for hospitality is when you make it a priority to actually take time to get a little bit organized here and there.”
— Kristi Clover

  • Mystie talked about her blogs:
  1. Simplified Organization: where she keeps home and life management thoughts
  2. Simply Convivial: her homeschooling blog.

  • Mystie shared her thoughts on productivity and about how we only have “so much time” in our day. We need to be investing it in areas that are not self-focused. We need to ask ourselves,

— “What are the roles or responsibilities that God has given to me?”

— “Who am I supposed to be serving?”

— “Am I using my time to build and grow my family?”

  • Mystie discussed that serving the important people in her life comes before productivity and that feeling of accomplishment in herself.

  • I asked Mystie to talk about one of her key habits for productivity: Decluttering your brain! She said it’s good to write down all the thoughts and worries that are occupying your mind on a piece of paper. On paper, it’s much more obvious that we have too many commitments or emotional ties to unimportant duties.

  • Mystie talked about brain dumping on paper vs. brain dumping on the computer. She explained how mental space and different brain connections comes into play. Once the brain dump is out, you: 1) Go through and delete as much as possible, 2) Set up a reliable calendar, a place to keep to-do lists, and a place to keep reference notes, & 3) Look at the lists regularly! Because it’ll only work if you review them.

  • Mystie teaches in her Habits of Productivity course about how to use Evernote and paper for such organization. Evernote has a good search function for finding notes efficiently and can recognize scanned-in notes.

“Your brain is for thinking and not for remembering.”
— Mystie Winkler (from the book Getting Things Done by David Allen)

Welcome to the Simply Joyful Podcast
Episode #011 with Lisa-Jo Baker

The Power of Friendship
Show Notes: KristiClover.com/011

Have you ever felt FOMO? That’s the Fear Of Missing Out. And in this day and age of social media, it not only makes friendships between women difficult...it can make them feel downright impossible. Even if you’re not on social media you can experience FOMO when you hear about friends getting together for playdates or coffee without you. That fear of being left can easily set in. FOMO is real!

Friendships can be difficult for a variety of reasons. We as women compare ourselves to each other and feel like we fall short. Many of us carry baggage and hurts from friendships that went wrong. I share in this episode about a little “friendship PTSD” I experienced when I was hurt deeply by a friend. It made me want to pull back from friendships entirely, rather than put myself at risk of experiencing that pain again. I still second guess myself constantly years after this happened. I’m always worried that something I’ve said might be taken the wrong way.

Well, my guest today, Lisa-Jo Baker, knows a thing or two about friendships between women. For the past 7 years, she has served as community manager for Incourage, a website devoted to encouraging women in their everyday stories of faith. Lisa-Jo shares with us from her brand new book, Never Unfriended: ///. She made me giggle when she described her stage of life as the “wonder years” since the kids can now get up, get dressed, and go to the bathroom by themselves…oh what a wonder that is!

On a “Simply” & “Joyful” side note…

Lisa-Jo’s shares her biggest tip for keeping things simple, and what she requires of her kids to keep their evenings both simple and joyful.

In This Episode

I so thoroughly enjoyed talking with Lisa-Jo in this episode!! We discussed how we as women thwart friendships, how we can look to Jesus for the true example of how to be a friend, and how to speak the truth to ourselves when our heart wants so badly to deceive us.

We also talk about the difficulty of developing and maintaining friendships between women, how the internet has affected that, and what we can do about it.

Well, you are in for such a treat!! I just know you will be so blessed by my conversation with Lisa-Jo! I hope this episode inspires you to develop friendships with women, to encourage them through Christ, and to reach out even when it is difficult.

Highlights from This Show…

*Lisa-Jo talks about friendship PTSD and how it affects our ability to make and maintain friendships.

*Is it possible to invest in friendships in a culture where you can be unfriend someone with a swipe of your finger?

“Eve is the original FOMO girl; she’s basically like, ‘Oh my goodness, God has left me out of something.’”
— Lisa-Jo Baker

* I reference the first time that I heard the term “FOMO” being here on the podcast with Jill Savage. (Now I hear the term everywhere.) :)

*Lisa-Jo talks about how coveting what our neighbors have has exploded with the invention of the internet, when the whole world is now our neighbor. We can be perfectly content with our life, then open Instagram and start scrolling and we aren’t content anymore.

*Lisa-Jo and I laugh about how moms will actually dress up when getting together with other women, yet don’t usually put as much thought into how we dress for the men in our lives. We feel such pressure to maintain appearances for other women.

*Lisa-Jo gives the world’s definition of friendship, “What’s in it for me?”, as opposed to Jesus’ definition of friendship, “What’s in it for you?” Lisa-Jo and I also discuss how Jesus came to be our friend and how He pursues relationships with us.

“It’s about saying to your friend, ‘How could I show up and be a friend to you?’”
— Lisa-Jo Baker

*Lisa-Jo talks about why it’s important to pursue friendships with others. She also points out how we are hard-wired for relationships by God Himself. Relationships are actually beneficial for us, even if it is hard or we’ve struggled with friendship “failures” in the past.

*I shared with Lisa-Jo about how her story about her mom passing away when she was just a teenager really touched me as I read her book…especially since we had just lost my father-in-law over the summer. The power of friendships during crisis moments like these really touched both of us in our time of grieving.

“It’s okay if it feels awkward...it is better to say the wrong thing than to say nothing.”
— Lisa-Jo Baker

*”Friendship is Jesus with skin on. It’s how we bring Him to sit on the sofa next to our friend who’s grieving.”
— Lisa-Jo Baker

*Jesus is our Emmanuel and He demonstrates the gift of “presence” in our lives and how we need to show up and be present in the lives of others…especially when friends are going through hard times.

*Lisa-Jo talks about the story of the good Samaritan in Scripture and how Jesus was asked, “WHO is my neighbor?” He taught how to go and BE a good neighbor. He shifts the burden from “What’s in it for me?” to “What’s in it for you?”

*Lisa-Jo got very practical in the episode and shared some great tips for women who are ready to reach out and be a friend. She shared an acronym with us from the book: S.T.A.Y.S. {S= Shows up! T= Takes time! A= Assumes the best! Y= Asks “Why?” Friends ask good questions of each other & aren’t afraid of the answers. S= Stops comparing & Starts encouraging}

*I mention how I’ve struggled as a people pleaser for most of my life and how I have to fight the lie of the enemy that others don’t like me and may have possibly taken something I’ve said out of context. I share how I try to mediate on Philippians 4 and believe “what is true” of others and not what I “think” they might be thinking. The importance of prayer over situations like these is so important.

“The heart is deceitful above all else…”
— Jeremiah 17:9

“Nobody lies to me quite like I do.”
— Lisa-Jo Baker

*Lisa-Jo shares a second acronym about the L.I.E.S. we tell ourselves. {L= “Left out” on purpose I = That we’re “invisible” E = That “everything” is about me  S = Skinny jeans friendships! Ha!}

“Friendship is not like skinny jeans; it’s more like sweat pants. It gives everybody room to breathe just the way they are.”
— Lisa-Jo Baker

*Lisa-Jo and I talk about how being a good friend to others starts with being a good friend to yourself. Lisa-Jo confesses how she realized that she was constantly speaking negatively to herself and how she’s had to learn to turn off the “devil static.”

*Lisa-Jo discusses how to handle a “friendship break-up.” She also reminds us that even Jesus Himself suffered from failed friendships; think about His relationship with Judas.

“At the end of the day, it is not our job to fix other people; it’s our job to love them.”
— Lisa-Jo Baker

“It’s better to have a scar that hurts than an open wound.”
— Lisa-Jo Baker

*Lisa-Jo discusses how as moms we have daily opportunities to die to ourselves.

“What I love about Jesus is that He’s never going to get tired of you coming to Him, or asking for validation, or asking Him how you look or how that project went...like NEVER. He’s never tired of that. You can come to Him as much as you want, about everything under the sun...and He will love you. He is fascinated by your life, and He wants to share it with you.”
— Lisa-Jo Baker

Episode #010 with Amber

Biblical Solutions for Mommy Anger
Show Notes: KristiClover.com/010

Let’s be honest. Mommy anger is a real struggle for so many of us. I didn’t know I was capable of being so frustrated and angry until I had kids. My buttons get pushed, I’m sleep deprived, and exhausted…and the angry comes.

There have been times when I can feel it coming and try to fight it, but I end up snapping at my kids anyway. Other times it sneaks up on me and comes out when I’m not expecting it.

I’m a firm believer in the fact that God uses our kids to refine us. I may not have known that I’d struggle with anger, but God did. He’s not surprised by my sin…not one bit. I will be a work-in-progress until the day He calls me home. He just keeps offering me His grace, forgiveness, and His self control.

I actually wrote about my struggle with anger in my post called Finding Joy When You’re Angry. I hope you’ll check it out. I think you’ll really like the five tips I have in there for finding joy when you feel like getting angry. I’m not a perfect mom, but I am trying to be the best mom I can be. And I’m really trying to learn how to respond in more loving ways when my kids trigger my anger.

Speaking of “triggers,” my guest today is none other than my sweet friend, Amber Lia. Amber is the co-author of the book Triggers: Parents' Angry Reactions for Gentle Biblical Responses. She wrote Triggers along side Wendy Speake as Wendy and I mentioned in Episode #008. Amber is married to her husband Guy, who by the way went to Steve and my alma mater. They’ve been married for ten years and have four boys. She and Guy Guy work as a team in both their work as co-producers (they own a production company called Storehouse Media Group) and in their family life!

Amber and I first met at Bloggers Night Out at the CHEA homeschool convention a couple of years ago. We were both on the panel for the event. (Now I actually organize the event…so come if you are CA in July come on out!)

On a “Simply” & “Joyful” side note

I asked Amber about what she does to simplify her life and she has a great response! She gives several quick ideas to truly save time. I know you are going to like them!

In This Episode

In this episode, Amber and I are going to get real and share about how mommy anger has affect our lives. Amber has some incredible tips for how to manage mommy anger and where it comes from.

I just know you are going to be so incredibly encouraged in this episode with Amber!

Highlights from This Show

  • Amber and I talk about her new book, Triggers: Parents' Angry Reactions for Gentle Biblical Responses, which she co-authored with Wendy Speake. This incredible book about mommy anger was compiled from their time working with their online ministry called No More Angry MOB (Moms of Boys).

  • Mommy anger is a real thing! Amber thought that is was only her "real thing." Then she learned that she wasn't alone.

  • Triggers chronicles her journey through learning how to turn to God with her anger. It has given hope and has transformed thousands of families.

  • Many moms get trapped in the cycle of anger and aren't sure what to do.

  • The book goes over 31 common triggers that parents have. They divide it into external triggers and internal triggers. Amber Lia shares overarching tips and advice for moms who are struggling with anger.

“It takes a childhood to train a child.”
-- Amber Lia

“In a practical sense, do not set your expectations too high for yourself or for your kids. Give them a long, long leash to learn whatever it is you’re trying to teach and train them.”
-- Amber Lia

  • It's easy to feel alone in your struggles with anger...because we don't typically broadcast it when we lose it. It doesn't really look good on our Facebook highlight reel. Ha! However, when Wendy and Amber started this No More Angry MOB Facebook group...they had over 1,000 moms join in the first week.

"There's a lot of people out there who have nowhere to turn, because they are embarrassed and don't want to let people know that they get angry -- and that they don't know what to do about it."
-- Amber Lia

"If we're not letting people know our weaknesses, then we're missing out on a community that can help us grow toward change."
-- Amber Lia

“Guilt defeats, but conviction catapults you toward spiritual growth."
-- Amber Lia

  • Amber and I both talk about the importance of helping your child come up with a solution to the whatever problem they are repeatedly having.

“I want to know my kids. I want to know how they think. I want to know what matters to them, what’s important to them. Each of their personalities is different. Getting their input and getting them to take some ownership for these issues is a loving thing to do.”
-- Amber Lia

  • I ask Amber what it’s like working in the entertainment industry as a Christian. She responds by asking for prayer. So, I wanted to ask you to partner with me in praying for the Lia family. Amber and Guy are in the "thick of it" being that they are in the film industry. Having a Christian, conservation company in Hollywood definitely stirs up spiritual attack. So, please be praying for them as they seek to bless others with great quality content. Thanks!

Welcome to the Simply Joyful Podcast

Episode #009 with Lea Ann Garfias

Being Real & “Rocking” Your Ordinary Life!

Show Notes: KristiClover.com/009

You have to love it when God lines things up just perfectly! Last week we talked with Wendy Speake about finding ways to use our creative gifts to bless our family — and the world. As women and moms we can easily allow the busyness of life to consume us and snuff out those passions and dreams that we once had. I hope you were encouraged to realize that God gave you your gifts and talents — and you can and should still use them — it might just look a little differently than you originally thought. However, we also talked about how it starts at home.

Well, today God worked it out that this new interview with Lea Ann comes on the heels of Wendy's podcast. That wasn't what I had planned. I had these two ladies scheduled weeks apart. However, due to several different factors, they are back-to-back. And get this…today we a going to look at how to “rock your ordinary” life. So, we're talking about starting at home and pouring your heart into living out an extraordinary life…right in the middle of your “ordinary” day! Yep! God is good!

On a “Simply” & “Joyful” side note…

This is always one of my favorite parts of the podcast. I ask my guests to either share about how they are finding joy or how they are adding simplicity to their lives. Well, Lea Ann has a tip for you that made me laugh out loud! It's great! I hadn't thought of it!

In This Episode

In this episode Lea Ann and I talk about how to “rock” life even in the ordinary moments. We aren't called to make our lives look like other people's. Our callings are all different. Our gifting is all different, too. This really is such an amazing conversation to have right after Wendy's episode! They fit so perfectly together! I love how God ended up working out the details for these two episodes to be back-to-back.

I can't wait for you to listen in on my encouraging conversation with Lea Ann!

Highlights from This Show

  • Lea Ann and I talk about how our lives can have an impact in other people's lives. When we stop striving for perfection and just “open the door” and be real with each other, we have the ability to bless others in a great way.
  • Lea Ann gives the encouragement that we need to be happy and and thankful for our own unique calling in life and not to be envious of others’ callings. God is calling us to rock the ordinary!

“God not only didn’t call me to that life, He didn’t even give me a desire for that life…my burden, my calling, isn’t to have the cutest house on the block and my calling isn’t to be even a podcaster.”
— Lea Ann Garfias

“I think we as women allow Satan to...discourage us and make us feel like we’re less than or not as effective in the ministry because we’re not ministering the same way as the lady across the aisle from us. And that is a terrible lie.”
--Lea Ann Garfias

  • Lea Ann shares the story of a trial in her life when her marriage was at stake and gives advice to listeners who have or are going through similar issues.

“We need to be honest, and that is a huge part of our commitment to one another. [We also need to be] able to share…the truth with our close friends who are supporting us. Finally, we each have to be willing to be honest with the Lord and tell God what is the real issue.”
–Lea Ann Garfias

“…when we’re brave and when we’re honest, that’s when God can heal us and sanctify us and grow us more to be like Him; not only individually but together as a couple.”
–Lea Ann Garfias

  • Lea Ann also talks about the importance of vulnerability and asking our friends for prayer and advice and gives examples from her life.

“I don’t have to pretend in front of her, I can ask her for prayer and she will pray for me. I can tell her that I have a sin that I’m wrestling with and she won’t judge me, because she’s a sinner too.”
–Lea Ann Garfias

“When we are being real with people and they see what God can do through that–that is the ‘testimony.'”
–Kristi Clover

“If we can have the courage to be honest and open with our friends, we’ll find out that some of the stuff we’re hiding might just be normal behavior or just the regular way the world works, and we don’t have to spend so much time trying to hide things or brush stuff under the rug that really isn’t important.”
–Lea Ann Garfias

“These little ordinary moments in our lives can have a tremendous impact on someone around us…just saying a nice word and [being] honest and encouraging…we don’t even realize how much that can relieve the burden from someone around us.”
–Lea Ann Garfias

  • Lea Ann shares an overview of her past and what advice she has for women who have hard pasts and shattered dreams.

“If there are listeners who grew up in a dysfunctional family or from a background of abuse, they recognize it’s hard when you come out of a situation like that to untangle what the difference is between your Heavenly Father and your earthly father…”
–Lea Ann Garfias

“My prayer is that maybe starting with this book and then leading through healing relationships and biblical counseling, that women will be able to find hope because God does love you.”
--Lea Ann Garfias

“I have every human reason not to believe, but I can tell you, that it is my faith in God that has restored me to health. Not just physical health, but emotional and spiritual health. God has allowed me to see redemption and healing in relationships that, humanly speaking, you would never expect.”
–Lea Ann Garfias

“There is nothing more beautiful than to honestly look at the broken pieces of our past and see how God can recreate our hearts and our souls for His own glory.”
--Lea Ann Garfias

Books Mentioned…

Dangerous Journey is an easy to read story version of Pilgrim's Progress.

Scripture Mentioned...

“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ…For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, ‘Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,' that would not make it any less a part of the body…If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body…Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.”

1 Corinthians 12:12-27

Welcome to the Simply Joyful Podcast

Episode #008 with Wendy Speake

Life Creative Starts at Home!

Show Notes: KristiClover.com/008

When we become moms it often feels like we lose part of our creative selves. The things we used to enjoy doing become memories. It's easy to start viewing motherhood as a choice that voids all the other things we thought we'd do in life. However, God can use motherhood to refine our gifts and talents and use them right where we are -- at home. Now, by "at home" I'm not just talking to stay-at-home moms. I'm talking to all moms.

God did not make a mistake when He gave you all your incredible creativity and unique gifting. You can still use them. Sometimes it just looks a bit different than we first thought it would look.

On a “Simply” & “Joyful” side note

This whole podcast talks about how to find joy using the creativity that God gives us. Our conversation was so rich and filled with goodness, tips for finding more joy, and how to simplify our big dreams and use our gifting right where God has us -- that we never got to an "official" Simply Joyful moment at the end. So, don't miss this whole episode! It's all in there!

In This Episode

In this episode Wendy and I talk about the dreams moms have and how we often feel hindered and burdened with motherhood. We hope you will be encouraged to explore the dreams, talents, and gifts that God has given you -- even while being a mom!

I know you are going to be blown away by this encouraging episode with Wendy!

Highlights from This Show

...(I know I mentioned cake pictures. I'm looking for them. I'll get them on here in a few hours. Sorry for the delay.)

“I write about about parenting, and I find that it’s still tapping into the same skills of storytelling, but it’s all with the purpose of pointing women to Jesus.”

-- Wendy Speake

“God did a good job when He gave you all those other passions and all those other abilities. And so I’m encouraging you to find a way, find a time, find a tribe, find a group of women that can cheer you on in those things that you used to love before you became a mom.”

-- Wendy Speake

  • Wendy shares about her friend, Kristen Schell who used a turquoise table to begin practicing hospitality when she was a mom.

  • Wendy talks about how the Great Commision starts at home with your kids and that you can use your talents and dreams during your season of motherhood to share God’s love with not only your kids, but with others...even when feeling "Confined, yet unhindered.”

“The dream come true of motherhood intersects every other dream.”
— Wendy Speake

“This is the way God planned it, whether it’s jotting down the dreams in your notebook, or pulling out your sewing machine again, or working to invent new recipes, taking pictures, or pulling out the pottery wheel -- or whatever it is, when you’re a mom, all the other dreams start at home, too. It starts here. But it can start."
— Wendy Speake

“God made us in His creative image for a reason. And one of those main reasons is because there’s gospel power in creativity. There are so many ways to get creative while 'confined' at home.”
— Wendy Speake

“That Great Commission call actually starts at home. The Scripture says first in Jerusalem, and then in Judea and Samaria, and from there, out into the world (Acts 1:8). And Jerusalem is the home for the early church, and then Judea and Samaria are the neighborhoods … and then from there, out into the world.”
Wendy Speake

“It is God’s power that can flow out of our homes.”

— Wendy Speake

“I might not want to be auditioning for movies, I might not be throwing extravagant dinner parties, but this is creative me, doing something to show someone they’re loved by God.”

— Wendy Speake

“God sometimes uses motherhood to refine us and to show us how else we can be using those gifts to bless others and I think that is something we can get so shortsighted on when we start focusing on what we 'think' God’s plan is.”
— Kristi Clover

  • Wendy answers Kristi’s question on what encouragement she has for moms who don’t know how to guard against the feelings and emotions that make them feel hindered and burdened: talk to your husband, let him know how you’re feeling during a time when communication is devoid of conflict and have some husband-and-wife teamwork for the next project you plan on doing.

  • Kristi talks about how she was inspired hearing about Joanna Gaines's story in her new book The Magnolia Story.

  • Wendy’s advice for moms who want to find balance is to redefine “balance.” She uses a life guard analogy to illustrate we need to surround our selves with people who encourage us to go out a little deeper...and sometimes remind us that we need to swim a little closer to shore.

“Balance is looking at the broad picture. If you can take a broader look at your life … then you won’t be so tempted to feel like you’re failing at balance.”

— Wendy Speake

“Abundant life is yours for the taking and I really do believe that it starts with embracing where we are today and then inviting God to just inspire us how to live that joyful, abundant life -- and it doesn’t have to be complicated!”
— Wendy Speake

Books Mentioned

Scripture Mentioned...

"You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

-- Acts 1:8 (ESV)

"He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance."

-- Acts 28:30-31

Welcome to the Simply Joyful Podcast

Episode #007 with Heidi St. John

Show Notes: KristiClover.com/007

Counter-Cultural Parenting

We live in a hurting and broken world. The influences of our culture try to seep their way into our homes any way they can. The hearts and minds of our children are under attack daily. However, often this battle begins with us -- parents. Often we are the ones who are battling the pressures of this culture and allowing ourselves to get stuck in the "ditches" that the enemy seems determined to put us in.

Heidi and I  discussed these "ditches" in the first episode of this interview. These are the places we get stuck and off-track from the path that the Lord wants us walking on. In this episode we jump back in where we left off and discuss how parenting and womanhood are under attack today. We need to strive to live counter-culturally for our family's sake.

Now, if you are unfamiliar with Heidi St. John, she is a dynamic speaker and has a very popular blog called The Busy Mom. Equally as popular is her podcast, The Busy Mom Podcast

On a “Simply” & “Joyful” side note…

Heidi has some great advice on how she simplifies…she shares it right after she laughs at me for asking the “busy mom” how she lives more “simply.” Ha! Hey, even busy moms can find ways to simplify their lives…and she has some great advice. Wait until you hear what she did with her husband's power tools!

In This Episode

In this episode Heidi and I get borderline controversial. If you follow Heidi anywhere online you know she is known for speaking truth on current events and how they relate to the Word of God. We dive into the recent Women's March in D.C. and how we should respond as women and mothers. I typically don't get into topics like this on my blog or on the podcast, but Heidi's wisdom is so good in how she relates everything back to the Lord.

This podcast interview was so awesome…and long…that I split it into two episodes. Don't miss Part One of this interview where Heidi shares some incredible encouragement for busy moms.

I hope you will be encouraged with every episode of this podcast…starting with this one!

Highlights from This Show…

  • Heidi shares about how weak women are in the culture today as mothers, and how we don't even know what being a woman means anymore.

"We take our worth and our role from the Lord"

—Heidi St. John

"Women need to be strong in who they are and strong in the Lord, so that they can train their children.”

—Heidi St. John

  • With over 28 years of being married, having children, and now having grandchildren, Heidi talks about the fact that she has "the gift of perspective" which she shares in her new book, Becoming Mom Strong.
  • Heidi and Kristi talk a bit about the Feminist Movement. Heidi shares about the history of Planned Parenthood and Margaret Sanger.

"I feel like womanhood is under attack."

— Kristi Clover

"I want to embrace my femininity."
— Heidi St. John

  • Heidi talks about the recent Women’s March in Washington D.C. -- and her Facebook post that got millions of views!

“These women want to be heard, but they won't listen. They want to be respected, but they won't give respect.”
— Heidi St. John

"Unfortunately, we have allowed culture to get to the point where our kids think that's how it's done!"
— Heidi St. John

  • Kristi shares about how she sees one of the biggest problem we have in society right now is our view of  “parenting."

“I think right now it's not parenting, it's friending.

Episode #006 with Heidi St. John

Show Notes: KristiClover.com/006

Biblical Encouragement for Busy Moms

Motherhood is not easy. We all can use encouragement along the way. Well, Heidi St. John is a master encourager! What I love about Heidi is that she’s not afraid to be very real and vulnerable about her “busy” life as a wife, mom of seven, and ministry leader. Heidi’s passion is sharing biblical encouragement — and boy, does she share a lot with us today.

Heidi is a dynamic speaker and has a very popular blog called The Busy Mom. Equally as popular is her podcast, The Busy Mom. You’ll hear more about how Heidi inspired me when I first heard her speak over seven years ago.

On a “Simply” & “Joyful” Note…

Heidi has some great advice on how she simplifies…she shares it right after she laughs at me for asking the “busy mom” how she lives more “simply.” Ha! Hey, even busy moms can find ways to simplify their lives…and she has some great advice.

(Warning: This interview was so long that this part is shared in part two. So, make sure you listen in to that episode, too! It will release Monday, February 27th!)

In This Episode:

In this episode Heidi and I chat about the struggles facing moms today. We discuss joy stealers like busyness and playing the comparison game. This podcast interview was so awesome…and long…that I split it into two episodes. That’s what happens when you put two chatty people together. What’s really funny is that we chatted for about 15 minutes before we started recording. Just think how long it would have been if I’d started recording that, too.

I know you are going to just love this incredibly encouraging episode with Heidi!

Highlights from This Show & Words to Remember:

  • Heidi’s passion is biblical encouragement and turning the hearts of parents back to the Word of God for the direction of their families and for raising their children.
  • I share about my backstory on how Heidi inspired me to start writing and blogging on homeschooling.
  • I mention my insomnia story in this episode. I share all about my 20+ year insomnia story HERE.
  • We talk about busyness — of course! — and the importance of spending time in the Word and our need to consult the Lord!

“If you want to get something done, ask a busy person.”
—Heidi St. John

“My version of sane is someone else's version of crazy. It all comes down to what God's called us and equipped us to do."
—Heidi St. John

“We get messed up when we get busy doing things that God has not called us to do.”
—Heidi St. John

"Women need more time than we give ourselves…to hear the Lord and be still.”
—Heidi St. John

  • The comparison trap is a joy stealer. We also talk about some of the common lies that women listen to — even women in the Bible! (The story of Sarai & Hagar)

“One of the lies that moms fall for is the lie that our kids have to be doing everything.”
—Heidi St. John

"It's a game changer when we begin to pray and bring things to the Lord. It makes a total difference in my day when I don't take my stuff before the Lord.”
—Heidi St. John

  • Busyness can interfere with our time with God and can affect generations to come.

"Everyone is working backwards with priorities. (Moms) fill their schedules, which makes their whole lives busy, then they focus on their kids…and maybe on their husbands next. Then God is absolutely last."
— Kristi Clover

"Those are the priorities that God lays down in His word. People say, “Where did you come up with that?” I didn't. God came up with it. Don't shoot the messenger!"
—Heidi St. John

  • We also talked about how legalism can push the younger generation away from the Lord.

"Due to legalism, kids are walking away from the Lord, rejecting the faith of their parents because they were raised with rules and not relationships which is a departure from the word of God.”
—Heidi St. John

  • Satan can make himself look small and insignificant so we don’t notice him.
    (1 Peter 5:8)

“The devil doesn't care what ditch he knocks you into, as long as you are in the ditch.”
—Heidi St. John

  • We referenced my podcast episode with Jill Savage podcast and how “slow fades” in marriage start small and become big.
  • We laughed about Heidi’s recent podcast series on sex that she recorded with her husband, Jay.
  • Heidi references her book "The Busy Mom's Guide to Romance" and God's design for sex.
  • I shared my embarrassing story about when I misread the cover of Bill & Pam Farrell’s Red-Hot Monogamy book.
  • Heidi just did an episode entitled Hot Monogamy on her podcast HERE.

"Marriages couples who are walking with God should have the best sex on the planet.”
—Heidi St. John

"God gave sex to you. It wasn't just for procreation. God could have made it as boring as He wanted to. He didn't. He made it amazing. We're the ones who screw it up.”
—Heidi St. John

  • Heidi has a new book coming this fall called Becoming Mom Strong. She shares her inspiration behind the book.

“Motherhood is a refining process. God is trying to teach us something through the process of raising children.”
—Heidi St. John

  • Heidi shares a bit about the physical abuse in her childhood and anxiety that she dealt with. (2 Corinthians 12:9 & Romans 8:28)

“God wants to use those things that were hard in your life.”
—Heidi St. John

* We start to talk about how womanhood is under attack…

Welcome to the Simply Joyful Podcast

Episode #004 with Pam Barnhill

Show Notes: KristiClover.com/004

This is an exciting episode for me. I have no idea how I missed the whole podcasting revolution when it was starting. Somehow I did. Yet, when my friend was talking about all the encouragement she received from listening to Pam Barnhill’s podcast, my eyes were officially opened to the world of podcasting. I’m so thrilled to have Pam on the show today. I’m a big believer in gleaning from others and tweaking what they do to work in your own family. Well, that is not only the advice that Pam is going to give today, but she’s just the person to glean from.

I’ve pretty much decided that I need to move next door to Pam, so I can check books out from her library. I hate to say it but I was ignorant to so many of the books that she mentioned. Upon looking them up, they all look so adorable. I think my younger kids would love them. Don’t get me wrong. We do a ton of reading…and have read several of the Hank the Cowdog books. However, I’m realizing that I haven’t been checking out some of the great books I used to get for my older boys.

I just know you are going to love this podcast and will learn so much from Pam and her incredible tips about how to create more structure and order to your morning time.

On a “Simply” & “Joyful” side note…

Pam shares about when her husband was deployed and how that changed how she approached things in her home. She also shares about the importance of asking for help.

In This Episode…

In this episode you are going to be inspired to take back your mornings. Whether you are a homeschool family or not, mornings set the tone for your entire day. Pam shares some incredible insight into how to add more structure to your mornings.

I hope you will be encouraged by this episode!

Highlights from This Show…

— My podcast episode with MacKenzie Monroe

— Yes, you heard me right. Pam has three podcasts: Your Morning Basket, Homeschool Snapshots, and  The Homeschool Solutions Show.

— Pam’s podcast episode with Carol Joy Seid

— Carol’s DVD series that Pam mentions: Homeschool Made Simple

— I love all Pam had to say about remembering to have fun with her kids.

— Pam shares a fun tip from Mystie Winkler: Make a note to smile at your kids.

— I have a related post about having fun with your kids filled with tons of ideas HERE.

— Pam’s Your Morning Basket kit

Minimum Viable Morning: How to find a few little things to work on and create habits that help your mornings run smoother. For moms who need extra help in the mornings.

My Sanity Saver for Mom’s tips: Start your mornings off right.

Morning Time is starting the day off at the table doing some school work together.

— Pam shares her best tips for creating routines and rituals in your day.

— Don’t forget to add music and praise into your morning time if it’s something your family enjoys.

— You can follow some of the rituals that your church uses in your home, too.

….Side note: I’m totally confessing that I didn’t know what “liturgical” was when Pam mentioned it. Just in case you might be unfamiliar with it, here’s what I found. Yes, I’m probably admitting my ignorance and may be the only person who wasn’t familiar with this term. (I’d heard it before, but couldn’t define it.)

Ha! Flashback!! The Mandrel Sisters! Do you remember them?

 — I loved hearing how she had a party for Shakespeare’s birthday. Ha! That’s so fun.

My post about how I manage my home and homeschool while my husband travels.

Pam’s Simple Ways to Add Joy to Her “Week”

1) Bubble Bath (whenever possible) — Little treats for yourself.

2) Learning — Continuing to learn by reading or taking classes.

3) Worship –Finding regular time to worship.

Welcome to the Simply Joyful Podcast

Episode #003 with Chrystal Hurst

Show Notes: KristiClover.com/003

Have you ever met someone and thought, "Wow! Did she get hit with the talent stick!" Ha! That is pretty much what ran through my head as I sat in the audience listening to Chrystal for the first time last year at a Sally Clarkson event. I hadn't heard of Chrystal or her podcast before that weekend. We ended up connecting over conversations of podcasting and Periscope. Funny how when you find someone who speaks your same crazy "tech" language you become instant friends.

Well, I'm all too familiar with Chrystal and her ministry now! I have listened to numerous podcasts, watched videos of her speaking, and read her articles on her blog. She is an incredibly talented and gifted orator just like her dad...well, like everyone in her family. That saying the "apple doesn't fall far from the tree" is very true for her!

When I listen to Chrystal's podcast I'm completely drawn in. You feel like you are practically sitting across the table from her enjoying a nice cup of coffee. I can't wait for you to glean from her in this podcast! You are about to see exactly what I mean.

On a "Simply" & "Joyful" side note...

Chrystal is going to blow your mind when you hear her talk about how she simplifies her busy life. She has some incredible systems in place to create balance for her ministry and for her family. You are going to love it!

In This Episode...

In this episode, Chrystal shares about her life and her book Kingdom Women. She also gives us a little "sneak peek" into her new book She's Still There. Chrystal is so inspirational. I know you will just love this episode.

Highlights from This Show...

-- Here's a link to Chrystal's book Kingdom Women. This book is so encouraging. I hope you'll check it out. There is also a Bible study for it.

-- Chrystal reminds us of the importance of asking for help. This is actually one of my "sanity saver" tips in my Sanity Savers for Moms book.

-- She refers to the story of Jessica McClure.

-- We talked about Chrystal's new book, She's Still There. It won't be available until summer. Be sure to connect with Chrystal so you will know when the book releases. It sounds incredible.

-- Chrystal shared about her awesome podcast on how she organizes her life and creates balance. Here's a LINK to that podcast.

-- Block scheduling is Chrystal's time management hack.

-- We all do things differently. We need to simplify for the season we are in.

-- Chrystal's favorite worship music: Travis Greene! (not "Green"...wrong guy)

-- Kristi's favorite "whole album" worship purchase: Phil Wickham's Sing Along albums!

Welcome to the Simply Joyful Podcast

Episode #002 with Tricia Goyer

Show Notes: KristiClover.com/002

I could not be more excited to have my amazing friend Tricia Goyer be my first official guest on my new podcast. Tricia is one of the most inspiring people I know. I find myself sharing parts of her story (anonymously) with others all the time. You know those conversations like, "I have this friend who..." People are always so blown away by her story and how she and her husband have said, "Yes!" to God in some ways that not many would be up for. I can't wait for you to hear it!

We all have "baggage." You know, those things in our past that we wish hadn’t happened. Past pain and hurt that left a scar on our heart or a wedge in a relationship. There we are all the same. However, how we deal with that pain is often dramatically different.

Some ignore it and try to stuff it down deep inside where they hope it won't bother them again. Some hide it and pray that no one will ever find out about it. Some choose to forgive and find peace with their past.

Then there's Tricia...

This is where Tricia's story is so amazing. I can't wait for you to hear all about how Tricia allowed God to weave together her story in such an impactful way -- both for others and within her own family.

On a "Simply" & "Joyful" side note...

I love talking to my guests about ways they add simplicity and joy to their lives. Well, Tricia is also one of those people you stand back and think, "How does she do it all?" She is a mom to ten...did you catch that...10 kids! Yep! Plus, she's a very accomplished author!! She's written over 60 books! I can't wait for you to hear that segment of the podcast.

In This Episode...

In this episode, you are going to be blown away by Tricia's story. She will encourage you to "press forward" toward what God is doing in your life.

"Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,." -- Philippians 3:13 (ESV)

She also shares some of the advice that she received from her life coach that has helped her to find more balance and joy.

Highlights from This Show...

-- We talked about the importance of taking every thought captive.

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." -- Philippians 4:8

"We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take everythought captive to obey Christ." -- 2 Corinthians 10:5

-- Tricia is involved with Teen M.O.P.S. and Project Zero (in Arkansas)

-- I just love the photos that Tricia shares on Instagram and Facebook. You'll want to be sure to follow her there. (I wish I was able to find that picture for you to see...that was a lot of shoes.)

Welcome to the Simply Joyful Podcast

Episode #001 with Kristi Clover

Show Notes: KristiClover.com/001

The purpose of the Simply Joyful Podcast is to encourage and inspire you to find simple ways to bring more joy into your day. Whether you are looking for a little encouragement in your faith, family, home, homeschooling (if you do) -- or just in life -- then this is the podcast for you! Let's get real and talk about the challenges that we face as women in our day-to-day lives. My guests and I will discuss practical tips and "hacks" about how to find harmony in relationships, order in your home, and how to add a little good ol' fun to your week. My prayer is that this podcast will bless you and add a smile to your face (even if it causes a few new wrinkles) -- and to hopefully help you "Live Simply" and "Be Joyful.”

This podcast has been a long time in the making. I've spent so much time researching and praying about this podcast. The last couple of months I've been busy recording interviews with some extraordinary guests -- yes, in my closet. I'm a closet podcaster. As silly as it sounds though, the sound quality is great in there. Plus, I can lock the door of my bedroom so I don't have little visitors pop in while I'm recording.

In This Episode...

In this episode I share about my vision for the Simply Joyful podcast and a little behind the scenes on why it took so long for the podcast to get off the ground. (It was originally going to launch in spring of 2016). I want to take this opportunity on my very first episode to let you know what to expect in each episode, as well as let you get to know me and my family a bit better. I actually share the story about how my husband and I met and a little bit about each of my kids. I also talked about how God uses topics that I speak about as opportunities to refine me. Speaking on family unity years ago and now on joy have come with some crazy struggles.

I hope you will be encouraged with every episode of this podcast...starting with this one!

Highlights from This Show...

-- My God story about how Steve and I couldn't see eye-to-eye about having more kids. I wrote a post all about it HERE.

-- Our family's favorite comedian: Tim Hawkins (this is Wade's favorite DVD of his comedy acts).

-- Speaking: I love to speak. You can see the topics I speak on HERE.

-- The first workshop I did for our church was on organization for moms. I wrote a series on it! The introduction to the series can be found HERE. (It's called the "M.O.M. = Master Organizers of Mayhem")

-- My crazy trip to Spain was definitely not a typical DITL for me. I share about that story HERE.

-- The death of my father-in-law was very hard on our family and definitely tested the source of our joy. I talk about how we learned to find balance through this time HERE. I share a few extra details about what we had going on this past summer in this post.

-- "The Joy of the Lord is My Strength" by Rend Collective has been such an encouragement to me and I feel so honored that I was given permission to use this song in my podcast.
